CHRISTINE ALBERTSSON AIA, CID, NCARB, PARTNER

Christine Albertsson’s clean, timeless architecture is guided by her Scandinavian heritage and New England upbringing. Whether rural or urban, her projects are sensitively sited in the landscape and employ natural materials and colors with simple, beautifully crafted details. Christine received her Masters of Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania in 1990. She began practicing architecture with several prominent Minnesota firms in 1991, before founding Albertsson Hansen in 2000. An active member of the Minnesota American Institute of Architects (AIA), Christine served on the Architectural faculty at the University of Minnesota from 1993 to 2001 and again in 2019.

TODD HANSEN AIA, CID, PARTNER

The carefully considered relationship between a house and its natural setting. The life-affirming qualities of well-shaped, well-functioning rooms. The precise detailing in millwork and fixtures. These are the qualities Todd Hansen considers in his award-winning architecture. Todd received his Masters of Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania in 1991, practicing with several respected Minnesota firms before partnering with Christine Albertsson. A member of the Architectural faculty at the University of Minnesota from 1994 to 1999, he is an active member of the Minnesota chapter of the AIA.

MARK TAMBORNINO ASSOCIATE AIA, PARTNER

Mark Tambornino holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Minnesota, where he has taught design in the graduate and undergraduate programs since 2002. Mark started at Albertsson Hansen in 2003 and has over 25 years of experience in residential architecture, office design, and large-scale non-profit cultural and institutional projects. He brings valuable design, building science and management experience to Albertsson Hansen clients.

Jenny holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Houston and a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Texas Tech University. With a background in senior living, she looks to create flexible, skillfully detailed homes that will age with its residents.

Kendra did her Master of Architecture study at the University of Michigan after graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from the University of Minnesota. She has been a designer in single and multi-family housing, assisted living communities, mixed-use, retail, commercial and office. Kendra also uses her design talents as a Graphic Designer.

Nicolle earned her Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Minnesota and has over 25 years of experience specializing in market-rate and affordable multifamily residential and student housing projects. Her extensive travels to many of the world’s prominent architectural sites continue to inspire her work. A licensed architect and member of the USGBC Minnesota Market Leadership Advisory Board, Nicolle is passionate about creating thoughtful, sustainable designs that enhance quality of life, nurture communities, and foster a strong connection to the natural environment.

Tyler Matz holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Texas Tech University and a Master’s degree from the University of Texas. From an early age, he has been drawn to architecture through painting, sculpting, and building, experiences that continue to inform his creative approach today. Tyler believes thoughtful design is rooted in attention to detail and the quality of materials. He enjoys collaborating with teams and clients to create functional, well-crafted spaces that feel connected to their surroundings and support how people live now and into the future. Outside of work, Tyler enjoys traveling, exploring parks, visiting museums, and creating art through drawing and photography.

Sarah earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design from the University of Minnesota. She has a variety of experience in residential interior design ranging from finish selection to furniture and fabrics. Sarah enjoys collaborating with homeowners to create spaces that are beautiful and functional for everyday life. She loves digging in to the details of a project to form a cohesive design.

Originally from Sioux Falls, SD, Alli holds a BDA in Architecture from the University of Minnesota. She’s passionate about incorporating her clients’ unique tastes and lifestyles into every project. She believes that a well-designed space should be a reflection of its inhabitants, and she strives to create environments that are both inspiring and comfortable.

HEATHER ZIMMERMANN BUSINESS MANAGER

Heather holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Northwestern College.  She is an experienced Business Manager specializing in the Construction & Automotive industries.  Heather has a passion for numbers and organization, and she loves to create and manage an organized office environment for our staff.  She is a bit of a perfectionist and loves to automate processes in order for our Architects to spend less time doing paperwork and more time creating your dream space! When she is not at work she loves spending time with her husband Chad and their 2 rescue dogs Hika Hania & Loki.

HEATHER EDINGTON CLIENT RELATIONS & MARKETING MANAGER

Heather brings over a decade of experience in business development, client relations, and marketing to Albertsson Hansen Architecture and Interior Design. She supports clients from first inquiry through key project milestones and beyond, helping them feel welcomed and well guided throughout the process. Heather also leads the firm’s marketing and business development efforts and develops community events in the newly opened Geranium Design Lab that connect people to the firm and its work. Outside of work, Heather loves spending time outdoors and exploring with her husband, kids, and dog.

BRUNO ALBERTSSON CANINE

Bruno received a certificate in Puppy Socialization from the Twin Cities Obedience Training Club in Northeast Minneapolis in September, 2016. Originally from International Falls, he moved to Minneapolis this fall at the age of 9 weeks. Though he has no prior design experience, he graces the firm with his enthusiasm and general positive outlook. His responsibilities include greeting visitors, making people smile and sleeping under the desks. A gregarious pup, he also connects us with our Lyn-Lake neighbors.
